My name is Ian Murray and I am entering my third year at SUNY Cortland and I’m going to Cortland to become a Physical Education teacher. Also at the college I am on the Men’s Swimming and Diving team. Right now I am not at Cortland because I have chosen to stay at home in Auburn, NY to help not spread COVID-19 and make sure that everyone is able to return safely in the spring semester. I hope to teach Physical Education at a grade school level and hopefully go even further. Even though I am on the Red Dragon swim team, the sport has been a huge part of my life and has made me the person I want to be. Other hobbies of mine are exercising, gaming, and watching sports.
The two questions I would like to learn more about for the class are how can I better understand people’s thoughts and opinions on society today, and what are some recommended actions that can help me guide others to a better understanding of ethnicity, gender, and sexuality to give the people of the world the ability to feel safe and equal today?
